Ashlee Evans-Smith (1-0) defeated Tori Adams to advance in the all women tournament at CFA 10. She is getting closer to the woman’s featherweight title and $20,000, but Peggy Morgan is in her way to proceed.

However, to get her mind off her challenge, she decided to take a break and hit the waves in California, recently. She opened up about her new hobby in an interview on The Roman Show.

“So many people down here in North County California are doing it,” she said. “It was on my bucket list.”

She said surfing will be her time to get her mind away from training, for a bit. A friend of a friend offered her to give her lessons.

“I think it’s like a ying and yang situation,” she said. “Surfing will be my ying. I am one with the ocean.”
