James McSweeney (11-10) made an impact heard around the world when he knocked out Blackzillian’s and Strikeforce veteran Dion Staring in 39 seconds with a head kick at CFA 10.

McSweeney was impressed with his performance. Both men fought in the main event.

“I knew I could finish him in the first round, but not under a minute,” he said in an interview on The Roman Show.

The UFC veteran said this is a good victory for his career.

“It was a good finish for me,” he said.

The kick is something that is second nature for him.

“I have been doing Thai boxing for years,” he said. “I always do that to see if the guy knows his defense. Does he defend the low kick, the body or the head?”

As far as fighting in CFA again, he said he is more than happy too.

“(CFA CEO) Jorge De La Noval has my number so let’s see what happens,” he said. “I am a man of my word, if I come to fight than I’ll come to fight.”

He also praised CFA.

“He puts on a great show and he is doing great things,” he said. “So, I am happy to come out and represent.”
