fac9770ae986695c80dfb6c58f312f32_LFlorida’s premiere mixed martial arts promotion has showcased many of the best fighters. Some have gone on to compete on the UFC’s the Ultimate Fighter reality show on FX and have had great success.

Mike “The Wolverine” Rio went to Las Vegas, Nevada and competed on the show. Rio was a favorite, but suffered an injury. However, he was given a fight on a future UFC fight card where he won. Prior to the show, Rio competed in CFA three times. He is expected to fight in May against Francisco Trinaldo in Brazil.

Military veteran Colton Smith fought in CFA 05. Soon after, he tried out for the show and was chosen to be part of the Ultimate Fighter 16. But, in Smith’s case, he went all the way defeating Mike Ricci and becoming the Ultimate Fighter. In CFA, he lost to Steve Montgomery.

Today, a couple of CFA fighters will follow the lead of Smith and Rio. CFA fighter Allanna Jones and Gleidson Dejesus are both trying out for the contest, where for the first time will allow both men and women to live in the same house. TUF is looking for those in the bantamweight division.
