BY RODOLFO ROMAN
Lee Bentley Syler (1-0) has attended several CFA shows, but at CFA Fight Night 01 he won’t be in the seats.
Instead, he’ll be inside the cage battling at Bongos Cuban Café Sept. 11. Tickets on sale at cfafights.eventbrite.com.
“I am excited to fight for CFA,” he said. “I’ve been there as a spectator at several shows and I think they are incredible.”
He said that CFA is another level of mixed martial arts.
“The level of fights and production are fantastic,” he said. “I am emotional to fight on the CFA stage.”
The Bolivian fighter trains out of American Top Team Coconut Creek and trains with Ricardo Liborio and other respected professionals.
“I have great trainers,” he said.
He has had much success in the sport as he just defeated Patrick Thomas by way of submission in the first round. He had an undefeated amateur record.
Syler started martial arts as a kid. He said, “the sport brings lots of competition full of fundamentals that could happen between two humans”.
He is thrilled to fight at Bongos Cuban Café.
“I love the chance of fighting in Miami,” he said. “Miami has caught my attention since I can over two years ago. I enjoy the people and their spirit. Plus, I can feel the Latin spirit of the public and gain their support.”
