A man who wears many hats
Robert Washington (15-7) has his hands full: He is a fighter, father, student and full-time worker.
So the question is, how does he do it?
Washington is getting ready to fight Miami favorite and veteran Luis Palomino (20-8) at CFA 11 May 24 at the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, Fl. Tickets are on sale at www.cfafights.com. The show will air live nationally on AXS TV.
“It’s hard,” he said in an interview on The Roman Show. “I can lie to you and tell you its not. It’s about motivation for success. Everything I do I want to be the best. I am going to keep fighting till I reach my goal.”
The recent married fighter has three children and says although he has a hectic schedule, he finds time.
“I have to make time to smile cause am always doing stuff,” he said.
The fighter said he took on mixed martial arts as fighting has been a part of his life.
“I grew up every day fighting on the streets,” he said. “I think that’s why I joined the military after high school.”
Aside from fighting Palomino, he is looking forward to something else in May.
“I graduate,” he said. “I studied criminal justice.”
He believes that the hard work will lead him to an ultimate goal.
“I don’t think anyone works as hard as I do,” he said.
